7 reasons to serve

Why would one decide to Serve with their gifts and talents, putting oneself “out there” ?

The reason to make such a fuss about ‘service’ is that until you decide to Serve, you’ll be taking in information (and healing, inspiration, knowledge, creativity ), assimilating those skills and looking at others for guidance.

Which is fine for some time of course, but at some point it’s better to turn this game around.

In order to ‘warm up’ you could ask friends if they’d like to be your guinea-pigs, and offer the services as a practice, for free.

It’s a slippery slope, serving for free, because ‘free’ easily gets mistaken for ‘of no value’, leaving the server two-times-empty; it had cost a lot of money, time and effort to get to this point (‘how can you know so much?’ – I’ve been on this path since I was 14!), and if there isn’t even appreciation for the service…well, then there is no point in serving in that direction. So choose your guinea-pigs wisely.

And of course, learning never ends, so you’ll probably find yourself studying and requiring new levels of understanding endlessly, but it’s about the balance. You get the point.

Let’s get to our subject, Seven Reasons to Serve.

1. GRATITUDE
I’m serving out of gratitude, so thankful for this life, the support, the opportunities, meetings and healings I have received. Incredible, luxurious abundance and magic!

2. USE YOUR TALENT
I can imagine the frustration in the Spirit world when an artist doesn’t make art, a healer doesn’t heal or a teacher refuses to teach. Your soul has accumulated this highly beneficial skill over countless lifetimes and you’re not using it?!

3. WE’RE IN THIS TOGETHER
As I so often say, it’s not a coincidence that we’re born in the same place at the same time. We should can be helping each other out with the specific skill sets we have, and experience the joy and satisfaction in doing so.

4. RESPECT
We serve also out of respect for the ones who came before us, the pioneers and path-makers who accumulated a body of knowledge and skills, lived through hardships and sometimes perished in exercising their particular kind of service.
Serve in gratitude and with respect towards our ancestors, they love you back anyway!

5. YOU NEVER KNOW
You never know, no matter how small your service may be, the impact it has on the life of the other. A smile, a kind word, an acknowledgement might save lives, or change the direction of someones life for the better.

6. THE OTHER OPTION
Not to serve? But to consume? Complain? Blame others? I just can’t see any satisfaction in that.

7.  The seventh reason – THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE – is that as I tune in and focus on the other, and healing and/or messages flow, the awareness in me notices that a part of the healing or message is applicable for both of us. We have our different reasons for the healing or advice to be so very beneficial, but the amazing part remains: one remedy cures many sores.

So cheers, here’s to the ever deepening practice of service, keep on walking your Soul Path!

I’m so very eager and willing, perhaps you’d like to work with me?
