Giving Spirit consciousness a voice.
ENGL | NL
My name is Nina – or Simperi, that is the name I gave myself as a child.
I work with energy, Spirit and plants. I enjoy helping people feel better, in their inner and in external lives.
My main tools to help are massage, energy healing and one on one coaching, but there are more possibilities.
Returning obstacles are lessons to learn from. Discomfort is a stop-sign. You are the one at the steering wheel, but I can help you to read the map.
I’m passionate about Nature connection: being intuitively tuned into the energies of Life.
After the perfumes (see below) I found myself in, what I call a “white, empty space”.
I asked myself what I wanted to do really, now that I’d start anew anyway.
I arrived at herbalism, something that had interested me since my teen-years. That study awakened an ancient recalling in me, and I found myself on the path of Plant Spirit Healing, which is a part of shamanism. As a young teenager I read the books by Carlos Castaneda. As an young adult I read lots of Paolo Coelho. Now I’ve realized that that what always got labelled as ‘daydreaming’ was just ‘ordinary shamanism’.
I have gotten my herbalism, Touch for Health (kinesiology) and Ayurvedic massage diplomas, but I’m not finished with learning. The school of Life is ongoing, and I’m eagerly taking in the relevant information.
and before that: Natural Perfume
Between 2010 and 2013 I was the perfumer, owner and customer service of Nina’s Nature, 100% natural perfume.
What begun with aromatherapy + skin nourishing base oil, resulted in a wonderful perfume collection, with an intuitive aromatherapeutic soul support aspect, that awakened my sixth sense.
So what happened? The European Cosmetics Regulation. You can read the long version here.
(You can read feedback from my clients back then on this page)
and before that: Bookbinding
Originally I’ve studied to be a bookbindenr (1995 – 2001). Two times even. I had successfully finished the vocational study in Finland, but wanted more. And so I went to London, to do the BA study in Bookbinding.
With hindsight, this wasn’t such a clever choice, looking at all the digital goodies we now have, but I have really enjoyed refining my bookbinding skills, knowledge about the materials and learning about the history of the (handbound) book, with the accompanying historical model bindings.
My favourite teachers were, for bookbinding Jen Lindsay, and for calligraphy Ewan Clayton.
It was fun, instructive, adventurous and awesome, a kind of Hogwarts, with the accompanying magical moments.
From 2002 to 2010 I made unique bookbindings for clients and art in book form, which I showed and sold through exhibitions.
I also gave workshops in historical bookbinding structures and the different creative techniques used in bookbinding.
